NEW DELHI, Jan 15: Unhappy with the presentation made on agriculture and the allied sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently directed a group of secretaries to rework and come up with effective solutions to address the problems plaguing the sector.
According to sources, the presentation made on agriculture and the allied sector was apparently lengthy and did not have concrete ideas.
“The Prime Minister was not happy with the presentation. He has asked the group of secretaries to rework,” the sources said.
The group of secretaries has been asked to submit the report in the next meeting.
The presentation on the farm sector was made on January 5 to the Prime Minister. It ran into 17-18 slides covering agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, poultry, fertiliser, irrigation and rural development.
The Prime Minister has formed 10 groups of secretaries to work on various sectors. Most groups have presented their reports. (PTI)
