DODA, Jan 19: RHPCL, a joint venture of NHPC Limited and JKSPDC Limited has awarded the work for “Turnkey execution of 850 MW Rattle Hydroelectric Project located at Kishtwar district in the UT of J&K, India” to M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) at a composite contract price of Rs 3485.13 crore.
Official sources said that the project comprises of 133 m high concrete gravity dam and an underground Powerhouse having 4 units of 205 MW and 1 unit of 30 MW (for continuous release of stipulated environmental flow).
This hydel project will generate annual design energy of 3136 Million Units and will bring overall prosperity to J&K, sources added.
