LOS ANGELES, Nov 24: Directer Rian Johnson, who has been signed on by Disney to develop a new “Star Wars” trilogy, said he is “excited” about the project.
Johnson, who directed “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, will write and direct the new trilogy with his longtime collaborator Ram Bergman.
“Well, we’re gonna have to see. I mean, I’m just in the very beginning of starting to come up with what the new trilogy is going to be,” Johnson said, according to Digital Spy.
“But I can tell you this, what makes me so excited about it, is the idea of doing a new story on the big canvas of three movies in this world. There’s just so much potential and I can’t wait to jump into it,” he added.
“The Last Jedi” is scheduled to release in December and features Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyongo, Gwendoline Christie, among others. (PTI)
