New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) Prices of rice basmati declined by Rs 100 per quintal owing to slackened demand from retailers against sufficient stocks.
Barley and bajra also declined on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against ample stocks position kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,700-5,900 and Rs 4,500-5,400 per quintal respectively.
Other bold grains like barley and bajra also moved down by Rs 20 and Rs 30 to Rs 1,540-1,545 and Rs 1,530-1,540 per quintal respectively.
