Rich tributes paid to Chatta by ASKPC, PK

JAMMU, July 17: Rich tributes were paid to former president of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) and a veteran leader Hira Lal Chatta on his death anniversary today.
In this connection a programme was held at ASKPC Bhawan, Durga Nagar near here under the presidentship of its chief Advocate Ravinder Raina in which the contribution of Chatta were highlighted. They said that Chatta an RSS ideologue worked throughout his life for strengthening the nationalist forces in Kashmir and raised the voice against the forces perpetuating secessionism.
Advocate Raina in his address said that Chatta was a guiding star for the community who served it till his last breath. The KP leader sacrificed his life for the cause of community as well as nation, he added.
C L Bhat vice president ASKPC while recalling the services of Chatta said that he was a bold leader who never cared for his own safety or interests and always preferred the cause of community and nation most.
Ram Ji Wangoo, Dr Satish Bhan vice presidents ASKPC, Veena Gurtoo, president ASKPC Women Wing, Ravi Raina president Youth Wing ASKPC, S K Raina, Raj Nath, Ashok Dhar, RubbyMattoo, Veena Koul, B L Handoo and others also recalled the services of late KP leader.
Meanwhile Panun Kashmir also paid floral tributes to Mr Chatta at a programme held at its office Sarwal today. PK president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, its national spokesman, Virender Raina and another senior leader A K Deewani termed Chatta an iron man of the community who served it to his last breath.
