JAMMU, Sept 28: Several organizations paid rich tributes to great freedom fighter, Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary in various functions organised today.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar unit organised a function at Parade Chowk here today with great enthusiasm. Senior ABVP leaders including Jammu Mahanagar vice president Bahadur Singh Katoch, Vikas Sharma and others paid their rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam and recalled his supreme sacrifice for the country and described him as a great hero. He said the youth of the country should take inspiration from this great hero.
Jammu Mahanagar Unit-II also celebrated another function under the leadership of State president Sandeep Arya. Dozens of students also attended the programme. The ABVP leaders and activists paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on the occasion.
Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad unit Udhampur also celebrated the 107th birth anniversary of icon of youth Shaheed – e -Aazam Baghat Singh. On this occasion City unit organised the “Shardanjili Samaroh” at Shaheed Baghat Singh Park, Gole Market. During this programme, a large number of boys & girls shared their views on Bhagat Singh. They paid floral tribute to Shaheed- e – Aazam. In this occasion Raghav Krishen Kesar, State secretary was present as chief guest. Arjun Khajuria city secretary ABVP Udhampur recalled the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh.
Meanwhile, District Congress Committee Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Randeep Bhandari celebrated the birth anniversary of the great martyr, Bhagat Singh. Mr Bhandari while speaking on the occasion, asked the youths to get inspiration from this great martyr for changing their lives and raising voice against their rights. He and other party leaders and workers paid floral tributes to this great freedom fighter.
All India Students Federation (AISF), J&K organized a function at Jammu to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh. AISF leaders paid floral tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam and highlighted the life and sacrifice of Bhagat Singh for the freedom struggle and his vision for India. They said Bhagat Singh’s vision was to develop India into a socialistic society which will be free from exploitation and miseries.
Those who addressed and were present included Ajaz Ahmed, Mukesh Parihar, Dr Sandeep Singh Chib, Sudhir Kotwal, Kuljeet and Dr Akash.
