RAMBAN, Sept 12: A rider was killed, while another got injured, when the bike they were riding on collided with parapet near Nitan Boom area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chanderkote police station.
As per police sources, two persons riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number JK19-3792 was on their way to Chanderkote from Maitra.
The rider lost control over the bike and it collided with parapet, resulting into injuries to both the persons.
On getting information, police team reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, where doctors declared one of the injured persons as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Burhan Ahmed (20), son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Kunfer, Chanderkote and the injured has been identified as Mohammad Irfan, son of Abdul Latief, a resident of Chanderkote.
The injured person was responding to the treatment, when reports last poured in.
A case has been registered in this regard at Chanderkote police station and investigation started.
