JAMMU, June 9: RIMT University has announced special scholarship scheme for J&K meritorious, sports and SC, ST and OBC students.
The announcement was made by Dr AS Chawla, Vice Chancellor of RIMT University —a leading education center of Punjab, while addressing a press conference here today.
He informed that the University had designed its curriculum with the help of globally leading technology companies IBM to launch a series of industry-aligned new futuristic Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) courses in Computer Science Engineering. He said that as a part of the agreement, RIMT and IBM India would partner to up-skill students by introducing this series of four B Tech Courses with Specialization in Cyber Security and Forensics, Specialization in Cloud Computing and Virtualization, Specialization in Mainframe Technology and Specialization in Data Analytics.
He said that the MoU signed with Organization of Tourism and Hotel Management (OTHM) UK to launch International Diploma in Culinary Arts-a job oriented courses with 1 year International Internship during which the students would earn attractive stipend with many other facilities. He informed that these courses would be offered from the academic session July 2018.
Chawla said that the RIMT University was putting much emphasis to get graduates into employment that matches their degree discipline.
RIMT University has opened their Permanent Jammu Information Centre in Lane No. 1, Shakti Nagar near Pawan Fruit Ice Cream and placed their Trained Career Counsellors to assist the parents and counsel J&K student community to select the right career, he informed.
