JAMMU, Dec 7: A ring snatching incident at BC Road near bus stand here has been caught on Close Circuit Television (CCTV) camera.
As per police sources, a lady hailing from Vijaypur area of Samba was purchasing some vegetables at BC Road near bus stand here when an unidentified person tried to snatch her rings. It is presumed that the person escaped with one of the ring of the lady, but it is yet to be clarified.
The whole incident was caught on CCTV camera, the footage of which was released by the police to identify the alleged snatcher.
However, a report in this regard has been entertained in the daily diary of the Bus Stand Police Station.
When contacted, SHO Bus Stand Jammu JJ Bhagat confirmed about the incident, adding that CCTV camera footage has been released by them to identify the alleged snatcher.
Regarding registration of FIR, he said that the lady has not filed any written complaint about the incident and as soon she lodge the complaint, a case under relevant Sections will be registered.
