Rise to the occasion

Sir,
For the last about two years we, the citizens of India, have been observing the over all situation of the country deteriorating. We experience the incidents of protests, clashes and some murders etc. cases of corruption and scams in the administration and other fields have become a common talk.
As reports say, thousands of crores of rupees have been misused thereby causing huge losses to the Nation’s exchequer. There have been incidents of rape and killings of the innocent victims. Militancy in the country has taken the lives of thousands of innocent citizens, security personnel, leaders etc. There is the problem of Naxalites and Maoists.
Fake currency  notes, drugs, narcotics are being smuggled into the country to destabilize the country’s economy and to have adverse effects on the younger generation. Security forces and the persons of the  Custom Department have seized such banned articles worth thousands of crores of rupees. The persons at the helm of affairs do not seem to take enough measures to check such evils.
Now enough is enough. The electorate of  the country constitutionally weild the supreme power. The electorate alone can set right the prevailing unwanted situation in the country.
Now, is the time to rise to the occasion.  The general elections are at hand. The electorate must this time see that no tainted person, persons with criminal background, dishonest persons or the like are elected to  Parliament or the State Assemblies. Any honest, dedicated, truthful and hardworking patriots be selected and elected during the elections this time.
This is the only way by which we can get rid of the prevailing unwanted situation in the country.
Yours etc….
