JAMMU, July 20: Provincial president of National Conference for Jammu, while slamming the Government for alarming rise in unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, has demanded fast track recruitment to thousands of posts lying vacant in different departments of the UT Government.
In a statement issued here today, the senior National Conference leader Rattan Lal Gupta while coming down heavily on the Union Government as well as the proxy Government of BJP in J&K for sailing in a directionless governance ship, said that it is an irony for youth of the UT that despite the unemployment problem having assumed huge dimension here, the Government has no recruitment policy.
Accusing the Government for befooling the people of J&K especially the youth by making false promises, Gupta said that if the Government too starts befooling the innocent people, then to whom they will approach for justice? He asserted that the conduct of the J&K administration has led to a situation where people have lost trust and faith in the Government with no elected representatives to plead their cause.
The senior NC leader alleged that there have been no recruitments during the recent years due to which the unemployment rate that was 7 percent in 2014 during the NC regime has reached alarming figure of 23 percent. He added that the recruitment scams too have played havoc with the career of the youth.
Asserting that these scams worth hundreds of crores are taking place right under the nose of LG Manoj Sinha, he said there is nobody to listen to the genuine cries of the deserving youth with the Border Battalion recruitment 2019 issue still hanging in limbo.
Claiming that thousands of posts are lying vacant in several departments of J&K Government, the senior NC leader demanded fast track recruitment so that youth of J&K would heave a sigh of relief.
