JAMMU, Dec 14: Chief spokesperson of J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha Ritika Trehan today organized the Party’s membership drive in Bahu constituency along with other Morcha leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritika said that while Mahila Morcha achieved success in its motive of mobilizing the womenfolk during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, their job is not over as now they are to devote time towards Party’s membership drive. She expressed hope that the Mahila Morcha will achieve the set target of membership. Ritika in her address said that Mahila Morcha has to achieve the target in stipulated time and show that women don’t lag behind the men.
Ritika further said that female membership of the BJP is the largest in the world. She said women constitute a substantial force in the Party and India would emerge as a significant women power in the world. “We will reach the target well before time. Those who want to become our Party’s member should go to the link through a missed call number 8800002024 and enter the referral code to confirm phone number along with the personal details,” she said, adding already lakhs of subscriptions were registered through the missed calls and several lakhs were registered online.
She explained the Primary and the Active Membership in detail and asked the Mahila Morcha leaders to put more hours daily to the Drive in order to ensure the maximum subscription. She said that the membership drive is the backbone of an organization and added that the Mahila Morcha activists of the party should work harder to reach the target set up by the party and approach all the prominent women in the society, working in their respective fields.
Ritika emphasized that women constitute 50 percent of the population and so no programme can achieve success without the active participation of the women’s power.
