JAMMU, Feb 27: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Ritu Choudhary here today toured Kanji House area in Ward number 7 and started the work of laying water supply pipes.
A handout stated that after completion of this work people of the area will get sufficient water supply and the project is being executed by PHE Department with an estimated cost of Rs. 3.50 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Ritu said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, healthcare facilities and other civic amenities to the people of J&K.
She said that directions have already been passed to the concerned departments for identification of habitations where there is shortage of water and to prepare Detailed Project Reports of Over Head Tanks or bore wells as per requirement.
She was accompanied by many locals and concerned officials from the department.
