JAMMU, Apr 13: State president, Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD), Syed Ghulam Nabi Forah, today asserted the Government to convene all party meeting regarding rehabilitation and return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) to Valley.
While addressing the party workers here at Janipur, Forah said that some parties and leaders having vested interests are trying to create hurdles and confusion among the two communities (KPs and their Muslims brothern) by making unnecessary statements on this crucial issue.
He said that it has become necessary to take bold political initiative and set-up a team of experts for reviewing the ground realities before taking any final decision about the settlement of displaced KPs to their native homes.
Forah cautioned the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State to respect the aspirations of both the communities who have suffered huge losses of life and properties during the period of militancy.
He said that for winning the trust of both the communities it has become necessary to take prominent and senior leaders of both the communities in confidence for organizing district wise meetings between them for framing a common policy to their return and rehabilitation in the Valley with honour and dignity and without any threat.
