JAMMU, Aug 4: Radio Kashmir Jammu (RKJ) and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today felicitated Krishana Kumari who is considered to be a Queen of Bhakh in a function held at KL Saigal Hall.
Sangeeta Gupta, Principal Commissioner Income Tax, J&K, Jammu was the chief guest, whereas Vijay Sambyal , Director Radio Kashmir, Jammu and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Commissioner Income Tax, J&K, Jammu Sangeeta Gupta said that by holding such programme, the organizers not only recognize their service but the new generation also gets inspired by such programme.
Brij Mohan, a noted music composer of the State and former Editor of Dogri Sheeraza read out a detailed paper on the life and works of Krishana Kumari whereas Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri in the J&K Cultural Academy read out Citation which was presented to the felicitator with a shawl.
Earlier, Director Radio Kashmir, Jammu while delivering his welcome address said that these programmes were started by Radio Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages under its series “JAROKHA’. This programme is organized in every 4th day of the month, has received overwhelming response from the general public in general and from the fraternity of Art, Culture and Languages in particular.
