JAMMU, Aug 31: J&K Revised National TB Control Programme Employees Association (RNTCP) expressing anguish over the non payment of arrears and other allied demands for which they are struggling for last many months, has decided to go on indefinite strike from tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference, Kuldeep Sharma, J&K Revised Nati-onal TB Control Programme Empl-oyees Association, Jammu Division president has expre-ssed strong resentment over the decision of State Government for not removing pay anomalies, revised salary, non payment of arrears w.e.f. April 2013 till date and criticized for discrimination with Jammu division whereas their counterparts in Kashmir division are drawing revised salary w.e.f. April 2013 till date as per new Central TB Division Financial Guidelines.
To press the Government for immediate release of demands, the association has decided to go on strike from tomorrow (September, 1, 2014) till they demands are met.
Sushil Sudan, president, J&K Medical Employees Federation also supported their cause and demanded for immediate release of their dues for which J&K Revised National TB Control Programme Employees Association is struggling.
Other present in the press conference were Vinod Kumar Sharma, secretary general, R P Singh, Jamail Singh, Yougal Bakshi, Harpal Singh and all the executive members of Jammu RNTCP association.
