POONCH, Nov 18: Returning Officer Mendhar Assembly constituency, Romesh Kumar (SDM) today issued notice to Assistant Executive Engineer PHE Sub Division Mendhar and other officers for violation of Election code.
The public complained that NC Party flags were fitted on the PHE pipes in the towns at many locations in violation of election code. It was pointed out that Government seal was also carried on the pipes and the pipes were managed from PHE stores and used for carrying elections campaign.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the RO sent a team which also conducted videography and photography and found allegations correct. Upon this, the RO issued notice to the AEE PHE, Mendhar Showkat Ahmed.
