KATHUA, Apr 2: Returning Officer, Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency (District Election Officer, Kathua) Jitendra K Singh today issued notice to five candidates including Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party’s Prof Bhim Singh for their failure to produce expenditure register.
Out of 13 candidates, 8 produced their expenditure register whereas 5 candidates namely Prof Bhim Singh (JKNPP), Jagdish Kumar (Independent), Girdhari Lal (Bhartiya Bahujan Party), Nazakat Hussian (Independent) and Dharma Paul Balgotra (Bahujan Samaj Party) failed to produce their expenditure register.
Accordingly, Returning Officer issued them notice for compliance to the directions.
The Expenditure Observer has impressed upon all the AEOs to strictly monitor all the expenditure incurred by the candidates and maintain proper account in shadow observation register. The candidates have already been advised to maintain expenditure register on day to day basis.
