Road accidents

Sir,
This is in reference to the tragic accident today over Mughal Road leading to loss of 11 precious lives. The point is whom to blame, overspeeding drivers or enforcement agencies. Such accidents are occurring frequently but Govt enforcement agencies and civil societies are insensitive over this issue. Such accidents must not become norms. Special squad and helpline no. must be there to receive complaints and take action against over-speeding drivers. Beside commercial vehicles must have a speed limit ceiling too. Death race between drivers is major cause of such accidents on daily basis especially in hilly areas of Rajouri-Poonch and Chenab Valley. In sharp turns they usually lose control due to over-speed. Unless and until some plan and proper enforcement of the same is not put into practice such accidents will keep on happening. For the larger interest of public, defaulting drivers must be punished. And proper enforcement is need of the hour.
