Road connectivity to remote areas priority of Modi Govt: Manhas

UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing Vikas Sushasan Sankalp rally at Chenani , said that road and rail connectivity to remote and far flung areas is being given priority by Narendra Modi led Government as proper connectivity is the basic requirement for development and prosperity of any area . He said that there are schemes for the welfare of people living away from major cities and towns as PM Modi is of the firm belief that development of every area is must for progress and prosperity and hence he has given the slogan “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas”.
He said that being MP, he has been taking up the issues of the people with various ministries and suggesting new projects and schemes for all the sections of the society.
Former Minister & MLA Sukhnandan Kumar said that the previous PDP-BJP coalition Government had accelerated the pending works and launched new ones to ensure that basic amenities are made available to the people at their door steps. He said that PHE Department too took various initiatives in order to provide clean drinking water and solve the problems of farmers related to de-silting of canals and irrigation of their agricultural land.
Ex Minister & MLA Sunil Sharma highlighted the projects which were undertaken during his tenure as R&B Minister and said that the PDP-BJP coalition worked on the agenda of good governance, development and corruption free administration. ” Our coalition, as a public-centric Government, had concern for all the three regions of the state”, Sunil said.
Local MLA Dina Nath Bhagat, while speaking on the works initiated by him in Chenani, said that 10 new transformers have been installed at different places, two power stations have been augmented to meet requirements of the people, one new transformer of 6.3 KV stands sanctioned for Sudh Mahadev besides numerous other works related to health, education sector are in pipeline. He also recalled his meeting with Union Minister of Roads & Highways Nitin Gadkari and said that two major road projects have been submitted for Chenani.
Senior leaders Som Raj Khajuria and Pawan Khajuria, Udhampur  district president Rakesh Gupta and Youth leader Naresh Bhagat also addressed the rally.
