KISHTWAR, Dec 30: District administration Kishtwar today named the approach road to College Community Hall and its extension upto village Panditgam after Shaheed Lance Naik Lachman Dass.
A renaming ceremony was organised as per the government’s decision of renaming the local Government schools and public infrastructure like roads and buildings after martyrs’ names, who died in the line of duty.
Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal in presence of Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Kishtwar, Zakir Hussain, BDO Mugalmaidan, Arun Badyal, Xen PWD R& B Kishtwar, Ramesh Jamwal, family members of Martyr, Municipal Councilor ward No 9 Shabir Ahmed, prominent citizens and police personnel attended the programme.
The formal ceremony started with unveiling of Signages followed by floral tribute to the Martyr.
