JAMMU, Jan 25: As a part of ongoing National Road Safety Month, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Jammu under the direction of RTO Jammu Pankaj Mangotra organised an awareness programme aiming to enhance road safety awareness and promote responsible driving habits among the staff and customers of Fairdeal Motors here today.
The programme was commenced with formal inauguration by Managing Director Fairdeal Motors Saleem Bakshi, Executive Director Bhagwan Dass Gandotra, Rohit Gandotra and General Manager Fairdeal Motors, Arun Slathia, Chander Singh Katoch of Commercial and Passenger Vehicles Department.
MVI Surinder Kumar said that conducting such interactive workshops covering key road safety topics such as seat belt usage, helmet safety, and adherence to traffic rules. Earlier he demonstrated proper vehicle safety measures, including checking tire conditions, lights, and other parameters.
ARTO Headquarters Jammu Rehana Tabassum emphasised on road safety awareness programmes which could effectively minimise the fatal road mishaps. She further stressed upon the dealers to sensitise the buyers about the rules of road safety before selling the vehicle.
