POONCH, Nov 2: The road in the Salani village of Krishna Ghati area in Mendhar Sub Division, which remained in lime light due to martyrdom of Army soldier Aurangzeb, is in dilapidated condition due to which the commuters are suffering a lot.
Locals complained that the road stretch from Salani village in the front of Martyr Aurangzeb home, which is considered a priority road, is in shambles.
The road is having potholes, which speaks volumes about the tall claims of the Government of improving road connectivity, the residents said. They said that same is the condition of other roads in the area.
The locals of Salani area Mohammad Haneef and Sarpanch Khalid Hussain said that Poonch authorities have failed to undertake even minor repair work on this vital road. They said that the concerned authorities have failed to macadamize Salani village road. It is lying in dilapidated condition for the past several years, but not attention has been paid towards it, due to which the commuters are suffering a lot, they added.
The residents appealed to the DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav to intervene personally and provide better road connectivity to the residents of martyr Aurangzeb village people.
