NEW DELHI, Feb 9: Mentha oil prices rose by 1.14 per cent to Rs 1,430.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions amid pick up in demand at domestic spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February month rose by Rs 16.10, or 1.14 per cent to Rs 1,430.10 per kg in business turnover of 305 lots.
The oil for delivery in March was trading higher by Rs 15.60, or 1.10 per cent to Rs 1,432 per kg in 80 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders on upsurge in demand from consuming industries in the physical market against restricted supplies from Chandausi led to the rise in mentha oil futures. (PTI)
