Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting held

KATHUA, May 25:  A meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti was convened under the chairmanship of  MLA Kathua  Rajiv Jasrotia   in  District Hospital Kathua here today.
During the meeting Medical superintendent Dr. Anoop Manhas   apprised about the status of expenditure and revenue of the hospital.
Taking a review of the functioning of the hospital, the Chairman directed JKPCC to install glow sign boards of the hospital  along the National Highway and submit the DPR for strengthing the emergency wards by increasing beds from 8 to 20. The directions were also given for construction of entrance gate towards  the city side. PWD was directed to lift the old bridge material and to furnish estimates for the extension of OPD registrations counters.  PDD was directed to take up repair of the damaged electric poles in parking area, regulate the power supply in the hospital and to install electronic meter in the hospital
The Chairman also gave approval for purchasing the surgical equipments/lab reagents/ medicines for operation theatre and blood bank. He also gave approval for procurement of necessary items for bio medical waste management.
Regarding the Mahatma Gandhi Child  and Maternity Hospital Kathua, Chairman gave approval for procurement of emergency drugs, lab reagents etc besides approval for payment of   charges on the account of OPD slips/other stationery items and sanitation material.
It was decided in the meeting that separate cabins will be provided for panchkarma for male and female patients and separate registrations counter for AYUSH.
The Chairman announced Rs. 5 lakh from his CDF for better health care facilities in the hospital.He stressed upon the  officers to  work with team spirit for providing better health care services to the  people.
