JAMMU, Jan 24: Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella released a book Rubaroo (Face to Face) at a simple but impressive function at Civil Secretariat here.
The book, which is a compilation of interviews of prominent educationists, social workers and writers of district Doda has been worked upon by the students of the Department of Urdu Government Degree College Doda under the guidance of the Principal of the College, Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi. The book has been edited by the Head of Department of Urdu Dr Akthar Hussain whereas Dr Imtiyaz Ahmad and Dr Anaytullah Wani co-edited the book. The research project was sponsored by Mr Tariq Wani, MD Habib Mall Doda.
The book is a part of the series of events being organized by the college under the patronage of Rohella. It is pertinent to mention here that during his visit to the college in July 2019 Rohella directed the faculty to work upon the local writers and indigenous languages and culture. He asked the principal and the students to prioritize vocational and skill based subjects.
After the formal release of the book the Commissioner Secretary lauded the Principal and the faculty for the College for this pioneering work and urged the other colleges to follow the track.

P Saraswat, Principal Government College for Women Parade Jammu, Dr Sunil Uppal Principal MAM College Jammu, Dr R.S Jamwal Principal SPMR College Jammu, Vikas Bagati, Deputy Secretary HED and Shabir Baba, Under Secretary HED.
