JAMMU, Dec 12: GKV Society of Agra awarded the Young Scientist Award 2018 to Dr Rohit Sharma of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu during the national conference on “Managing Natural Resources for Sustainable Agriculture”, held recently at RBS College, Agra.
Dr Rohit Sharma, son of Sat Paul Sharma of village Rehal of tehsil Bishnah in district Jammu, is working as Junior Scientist (Agronomy) at Regional Horticultural Research Station of SKUAST-J at Bhaderwah and is engaged in improvement of Rajmash and maize production through integrated approaches. He has been awarded the Young Scientist Award for his significant research contribution in the field of agronomy for enhancement of productivity and profitability for small and marginal farmers of Jammu province and more than 100 publications that Dr Sharma has to his credit, including full length research papers, books, book chapters, research articles, extension bulletin, abstracts, etc.
