Sir,
Youth, the pride, the future and the work force of a nation is often considered to be the soul of the nation, which sounds like the perfect description. According to a report published by the united nation in November, 2014, India has the largest youth population in the world. There are more than 365 million (36.5crores) people in India between the age of 10-24 and more than 65% population of our nation is below 35 years of age. Every third person in an Indian city is an adult and it is predicted that by the year 2020 the median age of an Indian will be 29 years. Looking at these numbers one must feel like India should be the most progressive and rapidly developing country in the world but sadly it is not the truth. With such a tremendous amount of young talented people in our country how come we are developing at a very minimal pace and it still needs years of work before we can call ourselves a super power. Something clearly is very wrong with our nation.
The reason behind it as I think is that the people are not patriotic enough. There are only two times when deeply buried patriotic feelings of Indians come to surface. First when there is a cricket match of India (especially with Pakistan) and on Independence Day because the movies they watch that day. They don’t understand the fact that in a way patriotism is making your country the best in the world by developing it in each and every field. And history will back me up when I say that “youth” plays the most vital role in the development of any country. But sadly the youth of India is not at all thinking about fixing the major problems of the nation. There are very few young Indians in the country which actually want to work in the country while the rest just want to get a job abroad. The mindset of the young people is very incorrect and upsetting. They are not ready to join the politics but are so ready to complain about other leaders. The young people are not even trying to bring a change in themselves let alone the society. The answer of every Indian is always is “Yeh India hai iska kuch NHI ho sakta”. With this attitude India will never change. Youth of this nation is sleeping. It high time that, we wake up now. There is a lot which needs to be done to make our motherland a more prosperous, more developed and more successful country.
Yours etc…
