JAMMU,  Aug 14:   A Junior Commissioned Officer serving in a Rashtriya Rifles battalion located  in Poonch district suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while on active patrolling on Thursday.
Subedar Rajinder Singh along with his team was on an area domination patrol close to the Line of Control when he developed breathlessness and chest pain. He was evacuated to the nearest company location where he was administered Medical aid after which he was further evacuated to the Military Hospital.
He was accompanied by the Medical Officer posted with the Rashtriya Rifles battalion. Subedar Rajinder Singh was declared dead after he reached the hospital.
Tributes were paid to the Junior Commissioned Officer by Major General AK Sanyal, General Officer Commanding, Romeo Force and other ranks of  the Force in a wreath laying ceremony held at Army General Hospital, Rajouri, today.
