JAMMU, June 9: A meeting of Roop Nagar Welfare Association was held here, today under the chairmanship of Uttam Deep Sharma.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the failure of Government in opening the vaccination centre for 18 to 45 age group from Upper Roop Nagar to Bantalab as per the Scheduled notified for COVID- 19. The meeting alleged that it appears that this entire belt has been totally neglected by the Government and the corporator of the area does not take any interest in getting the camp established.
The meeting said that the booking of Co-vaccine for vaccination of 18-44 years group stands open. But the booking for the same is not easily possible. It appealed the Government to look into this issue and make the booking possible at different slots so that the people are not put to problems.
The meeting also expressed concern over the worst condition of drains, lanes and roads in the area and demanded their immediate renovation.
