JAMMU, Feb 13: The residents of Sector 1, Roop Nagar Housing Colony, Jammu are facing health hazards and public nuisance with the parking of drum of coal and Moris Paver finisher outside the residential houses for over a month now.
The residents said that it has now been over a month since a Moris paver finisher along with a drum of coal tar has been parked right outside the gate of one of the house owners in the colony. The area is a planned Housing Colony and the roads are just wide enough for the vehicles of residents to drive by. With this nuisance parked there since over a month, movement has become troublesome, with the area becoming crowded often. By virtue of inflammable articles in it, in the eventuality of a fire a disaster can ensue, residents said.
Moreover, it is a significant pollution hazard, they added.
