Refer news item ‘Finally, Jammu’s ropeway project gets SC clearance’ DE Nov 14.
Now decks have been cleared for the Mubarak Mandi Ropeway project to take off. The Government shall have now no objection to expedite the Land acquisition process and starting work on this ambitious project. The delay has led to cost escalation. Further, delay will add further burden on the exchequer which the people of this State can’t bear. The Ropeway Project will emerge as a big attraction for tourist within and without the State. It will turn out to be a place for children to enjoy and indule in fun.
The Project will generate job opportunities for the unemployed youth and will give a boost to business.
The Government should therefore constitute a committee for this purpose. The committee should be entrusted with the task of getting the project executed from its inception to completion stage. There is no scope for further delay.
