Rotary Bahu 3070 launches 2nd phase of HPV Vaccination Campaign

JAMMU, Dec 21: In a significant step towards eradicating cervical cancer, Rotary Bahu 3070 in collaboration with Rotary Astha, Rotary Helping Hand, Inner Wheel Club and supported by RCC SUPPORT continued the campaign in phase 2 to protect underprivileged girls from Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
The programme was led by Project Director, Dr Navneet Kaur and the campaign targets girls aged 9 to 16 years from Bal Niketan, Channi Himmat and from urban slums of Channi Himmat.
The campaign was conducted at Dr. KD Multi-Specialist Hospital, Jammu.
Dr. Kaur inaugurated the event and emphasized the importance of combating cervical cancer through early vaccination and awareness.
First dose of the vaccine was administered by Dr. Paras Khanna. The event was coordinated by Chief Project Coordinator, Vishali Goyal, ensuring the smooth execution of second phase, during which 32 girls received HPV vaccine.
Karuna Gupta, Project Coordinator explained the girls about the importance of vaccination and its benefits for them.
Manisha Sharma, president Inner Wheel Club for Women stated that their Club would always support this project with continuous efforts towards safe guarding young girls from HPV virus.
Ritu Singh also supported the campaign.
CEO Dr. KD Multi-Specialist Hospital, Dr. Sumit, graced the occasion and extended his support to this vital cause.
Medical Partner President, Dr Rajpal Singh of Rotary Bahu 3070 pledged with the support of other Clubs to continue its efforts in subsequent phases, ensuring no girl is left behind in the fight against this preventable disease.
President RC Astha, Ritesh Gupta, President Rotary Helping Hands, Jaswinder Singh, Sunny Gupta, C.P Goel and IPP, Joti Vaid were also present with their teams.
