Rotary Club organises medical camp

JAMMU, Nov 17: Rotary Club Udhampur and Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation in collaboration with Gift of Life Trust, New Delhi, Rotary Club of Delhi Mid West, Delhi East End and Fortis Escort Heart Institute, New Delhi organised a free medical camp at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr Piyush Singla, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur.
A.C Peter, National Co-ordinator Gift of Life, H.M.P Singh, Chairman Gift of Life Trust (Delhi NCR), D.N Sharma, Co-ordinator Gift of Life, Col. Hargovind Singh (Retd.) president Rotary Club Udhampur with other Club members were also present on the occasion. The main objective of the camp was to screen the patients who have acute heart problems and are from weaker section of society.
As many as 107 patients were examined in the camp and 45 of them were selected for free surgeries with doctors from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi like Dr Tarun Ramman (Surgeon) and Dr Ankit Garg (Cardiologist).
These patients will operated at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.
Rotary Club members of Udhampur S.S Kerni, Kamal Gupta, Jugal Gupta, P.L Suri, Pritam Kotwal, Sanjeev K. Magotra, Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Surjit Singh, Rotary Club of Jammu Tawi, P.S Jaggi, Rotary Club of Jammu City, Adeep Singh Mehtha, Rotary Club of Katra, Raj Kumar, Rotary Club Elite, Brij Harcharan Singh, Rotary Club of Palampur, Y.R Bakshi also participated in the camp.
