JAMMU, May 18: Rotary Club Jammu in collaboration with Shankus Medicity Jammu organized a camp on women health and cancer awareness at Government College of Women Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
About 150 girl students and staff of the College attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Paras Khanna, a renowned Onco Surgeon of Shankus Medicity educated the students about cervical and breast cancers.
In detailed presentation he enlightened the student and the staff about pros and cons of both the cancers.
He guided the students on how to prevent these cancers by acting well in advance and also talked about the causes and symptoms of the disease along with preventive measures.
Earlier, Dr. Prof. Pawan Bali, Nodal Officer of the College delivered welcome address.
President of RC Jammu, Sunil Kumar Sawhney and his team of Rotarians introduced the Rotary to the students and staff.
Principal of the College, Dr. Meeru Abrol and Dr. Gaurav Vaid also spoke on the occasion.
Prof. Anju Bala presented the vote of thanks.
Deepak Babu and Prem Shanker were also present during the camp.
Dhara Koul and Simran Jeet managed the stage.
