JAMMU, Aug 27: Rotary Club of Jammu City and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital organized a free multi-specialty medical camp here today. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu complimented Rotary Club of Jammu city for organizing the camp in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital.

He said such philanthropic activities will go a long way in mitigating the sufferings of the underprivileged sections of the society.
Earlier, the camp was inaugurated by Vikram Randhawa, MLC who interacted with the patients and inspected the facilities provided by the Hospital for the patients. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements at the camp and said that coming together of Rotary Club of Jammu city, with its commitment to serve the society, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, with its proven track record in healthcare was truly a welcome development for the people of Jammu, particularly for those who are unable to bear the expenditure involved in accessing the best healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Swaraj, president, Rotary Club of Jammu city, said that the camp is the result of the desire of Rotary Club of Jammu city to reach out to the underprivileged sections of our society. Accordingly, the members of Rotary Club of Jammu city approached Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, , to hold this camp for patients from all sections of society for free consultancy regarding their problems.
Sandeep Beri, Project Director, complimented the specialist doctors from SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, the team of paramedics, marketing team and the support staff for sparing their valuable time on a Sunday for this philanthropic activity.
In the camp, eminent specialists from SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital were the consultants in attendance including Dr. Amit Basnotra (Gastroenterology), Dr. Ram Kinkar Jha (Orthopedics), Dr. Mohammad Maqbool Sohil (Cardiology), Dr. Satyankar Gupta (Oncology) and Dr. Deepak Pathania (Nephrology).
In addition to the free consultation, free testing facility including blood test, blood pressure test, ECG and mammography were provided at the venue through the mobile vans provided by SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital.
