Udhampur, May 29: A poor heart patient namely Zaib Rashid (18 months), son of Abdul Rashid Malik of Gandoh was operated at Escort Hospital New Delhi by the team of expert Cardiac Surgeons led by Dr Iyer.
The kid’s family was very poor and was not in a position to afford costly heart surgery. The patient was flagged off by the members of Rotary Club Udhampur in the presence of galaxy of eminent citizens of Udhampur and Staff Members of Rotary Hospital Udhampur. The surgery of the patient was sponsored under The Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation, Udhampur.
A. C. Peter, National Coordinator of “Gift of Life” program of Rotary International gave special priority to the poor patient.
D. N. Sharma (Secretary, Rotary Club Udhampur) fully assured that they will work for the deserving and poor people of the society in near future also.
