Srinagar, Aug 18: The Rotary Club Srinagar today organised a function during the visit of District 3070 Governor, Dr U. S Ghai along with his team.
The function started with the installation of the Club President S Umar Bhat.
In Hotel LalaRukh Lal Chowk Srinagar Rotary Club Srinagar today installed President S Umar Bhat for the year 2021-22, wherein Governor District 3070 for the year 2021-22 was present as installing officer of the ceremony.
Adeep Singh Mehta, District Secretary was the guest of honour of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, J Aiyer associated with Borderless Organization threw light on the performance of the Club during the present scenario of COVID-19 it stood first in the entire J&K Zone, whereas newly elected president, S-Umar Bhat in his speech discussed his plans to work with more zeal, zest and dedication for the service of humanity.
Senior Rotarians including Rtn. Jagjit Singh were also present during the event. At the function, later president of the Club presented the welcome address and threw light on the projects already executed and further taken in hand for the year 2021-22
The visiting Governor in his address promised to facilitate the Club to carry out various projects of safety, health, environment and education in Srinagar for the development and will put up our helping hands particularly for unemployed people who can Start-up their small businesses to earn a livelihood.
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by S-Umar Bhat. Commandant SDRF Kashmir Haseeb ur Rehman (IPS) was a Special guest of honour who said he will always encourage ROTARY Club Srinagar with every possible support.
