Rotary Hospital provides eyesight to two poor children

UDHAMPUR, Oct 28: Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur provided eyesight to two poor blind children.
One of the children namely Rakesh son of Pidu Ram, resident of Damnote, who was less than 1 year of age and was blind since birth due to congenital cataract in both the eyes, was operated under general anesthesia by Dr Ankur Goel and was discharged next day.
Another child namely Pawan (9) son of Kaku, resident of Bharat Nagar (Udhampur), was blind in one eye from last 2 years due to cataract formation secondary to trauma in that eye. The child was picked up by the Inner Wheel Club members of Udhampur at school screening camp and was operated at Rotary Eye Hospital by Dr Ankur Goel with full recovery of vision at discharge.
It was a life changing event for both the children. Parents of both the children were satisfied and happy with restoration of eyesight of their children.
