JAMMU, Mar 27: Royal Enfield today launched Classic 650 at Reliance Motors, Newplot Jammu.
The new motorcycle was launched by MD Vikas Rathore at a starting price of Rs 3.37 lakh.
The Classic 650 will offer some designs similar to the Classic 350.
The motorcycle offers a tried and tested 650cc parallel twin engine that is already present in the other 650cc motorcycles of the manufacturer.
The core of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 is 648cc air-cooled, parallel-twin engine.
The engine generates 47hp of power and 52Nm of torque and is paired with 6-speed gearbox.
The Classic 650 offers features like main frame, brakes, swingarm, twin shock absorbers with that of Shotgun.
The suspension is 120mm at the front and 90mm at the rear.
Weight of the motorcycle is 243kg and it is the heaviest in the Royal Enfield line-up with a 14.7 litre fuel tank and the seat height is 800mm.
On the other hand, the ground clearance is 154mm. The motorcycle offers round LED headlight with pilot lamps. Buyers can choose between single seat/ with optional pillion seat.
The customers will get the same digital analogue display that is present on the Classic 350 and on the Classic 650. This means we get Tripper navigation pod as well as gear position indicator.
The Classic 650 offers slip-and-assist clutch and twin exhaust on the bike is similar to other 650cc models (except Bear 650).
Colour options in the motorcycle include Bruntingthorpe Blue, Vallam Red, Teal and Black Chrome.
The price of the models is Rs 3.37 lakh, Rs 3.37 lakh, Rs 3.41 lakh and Rs 3.50 lakh respectively.
