JAMMU, Nov 29: In a concerted effort against the drug menace, Range Police Headquarters Jammu collaborated with Red FM 91.9 to conduct a powerful drug awareness campaign.
The initiative, held under the Civic Action Programme and the leadership of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shakti Kumar Pathak, featured a Nukad Natak by Nav Durga Kala Manch at Apsara Road Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The event, witnessed by the general public and students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar, commenced with a warm welcome to Chief Guest Shakti Kumar Pathak, Guest of Honour Dr Vinod Kumar (SSP Jammu), Rajinder Singh Katoch (SSP), SO to DIG Jammu, and Faisal Qureshi (SSP Traffic Jammu).
Addressing the audience, DIG Jammu, Shakti Kumar Pathak, highlighted the campaign’s reach across Police Stations, Railway Stations, and Bus Stands in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua Districts. He emphasized the destructive nature of drugs, urging the community to stay away and actively guide others to do the same.
The Nukad Natak team received a cash prize from DIG Jammu for their outstanding performance, and Team Red FM presented a skit on the adverse effects of drug abuse. Deepak Khajuria, Programme Head Red FM, along with RJ Sarang and RJ Anchita, expressed gratitude to Jammu and Kashmir Police for organizing such impactful events.
SP South, Shaheen Wahid, DSP RPHQ Jatinder Singh Sambyal, SDPO South Jammu, SHO Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Anjoo Pandita, and other officials graced the occasion.
