RR organizes computer training for students of remote areas

REASI, June 24: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Bagga, in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC), is conducting a month long computer course for 50 students including 25 girls at Sarh to promote IT literacy among students of remote areas in the Gulabgarh region of Mahore tehsil.
The training capsule is aimed at increasing awareness of IT education among students with an effort to bring them at par with their counterparts in other parts of the country.  The training curriculum includes teaching the basics of computer operations, MS Office and safe surfing on the internet and will enable them to be employed as Middle Level Computer Professionals on completion of the course.
Army authorities said that the cadre is a step in bringing a positive change in the education methodology and will boost the efforts of the Government towards the ‘Skill India’ mission.  The education in the field of ‘Information Technology’ will not only help them in their education but also boost their employment prospects in times to come.
