JAMMU, Sept 11: Digital literacy cum Grievance Redressal Cell which was established on 6th of September 2023 in the head office of Relief and Rehabilitation Organization (M) Jammu and at the migrant camps/Zones and non-camp areas for celebration of “Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week” came to a conclusion on a high note.
The event mainly focused on awareness regarding various initiatives of the department viz online services, e-office etc. which have largely contributed towards a transparent and corruption free system.
During the 5 – day programme, around 130 grievances were brought to the notice of the team deputed by the department at various migrant camps/non- camp areas, out of which 50 pertains to the department itself for which directions were issued on spot and others were communicated to line departments for early redressal. Moreover, all Zonal offices and Camp Offices have been notified as grievance redressal cells for the convenience of Kashmiri migrants.
On the culmination of the event, Bhrashtachar Mukt pledge taking ceremony was organized in the head office which was attended by all officers and officials of the Relief Organization.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K.K. Sidha impressed upon the officers to abide by the rules and legally correct procedure to avoid grievances/complaints and to keep corruption at bay. He further emphasized that such efforts to address all genuine grievances and to make people aware about the online services, activities to help people learn and adapt to using these services shall be continued in the department in a sustained manner.
