Rs 1 lakh fine imposed on those involved in illegal mining

RAJOURI, Dec 4: A fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on those involved in illegal mining in Rajouri district by the District Administration.
Official sources said that on the directions of DC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, DMO Rajouri Mohd Naseeb cracking whip on those involved in illegal mining seized three vehicles last evening involved in illegal transportation of minor minerals.
Taking action against those involved in illegal mining DMO imposed penalty on total seven vehicles on Sunday and imposed penalty to the tune of Rs one lakh. The transporters involved in transportation of minor minerals are advised to transport mineral material with e- Challan otherwise, strict action shall be taken against violators.
