RAMBAN, Apr 7: Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs conducted market checking in Banihal bazaar, here.
The drive was conducted on the directions of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, Zaheer Abbas.
The team headed by Tehsil Supply Officer, Banihal, Gian Chand Khajuria along with police officials checked more than 50 establishments and realized a fine of Rs 10,400 from them for not displaying of rate list, overcharging and unauthorized installation of hoardings.
Meanwhile, action was also initiated against those who were found without masks in public places.
