Rs 17,600 fine recovered during market checking

SRINAGAR, Dec 18: On the eve of Urs of Shogbab Sahab, a special squad comprising officials of Revenue Department, Municipal Committee and Police conducted market checking in Namlabal, Pampore.
During market checking, officials found shopkeepers and vegetables vendors indulged in black marketing.
The team recovered Rs 17,600 as fine from erring shopkeepers and destroyed 50 kilograms rotten vegetables and 50 kilograms adulterated milk.
The team also seized 50 kilograms of polythene from them.
The market checking was conducted under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore Mushtaq Ahmad Bajad.
