JAMMU, Dec 11: SOS International, an organization of displaced persons from Pak occupied Kashmir has said that Rs 2000 crore PM package announced for the refugees from PoK and Chhamb can not be considered as one time settlement.
While addressing the rally of displaced persons at Maheshpura here today, Rajiv K Chuni, a refugee leader said that though package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is welcome step but this package can not be considered as full and final. He pointed out that many components of the package have been neglected. The issue of reservation for the wards for refugees in jobs and professional colleges reservation of seats in the Legislature have been ignored. Even the JPC had recommended Rs 30 lakh package for each family besides jobs/ reservation etc but the same has not been included in the package.
He further said that there is conflict between India and Pakistan and the said conflict can’t bring to an end till ages. He suggested that to tackle the ongoing scenario of terrorist activities in State and the Country, Government must constitute 3three battalions; Mirpur Scouts, Muzaffarabad Scouts and Poonch Scouts. This is better mode to provide employment opportunity to displaced community youth from these areas.

“It is due to SOS International’s efforts that the struggle has reached at such level and the days are not far when we will get the absolute justice but of this all the PoK refugees should come under the umbrella of SOS International to launch a decisive struggle.
