KATHUA, Nov 2: A checking team comprising of Tehsildar Hiranagar, Tehsil Supply Officer, Hiranagar and Executive Officer Hiranagar checked various shops on the eve of Diwali festival in the tehsil.
During the checking a fine of Rs 2,500 has been imposed on spot to the defaulters under the provisions of Essential Commodities Act.
