RAJOURI, Nov 27: The police recovered Rs 3.55 lakh cash from two persons during checking at naka points on Rajouri-Thannamandi road late this evening.
A senior police official said that at Manyal Gali, the police naka party during frisking recovered Rs 2.30 lakh cash from one Mohd Latief, son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Rajdhani. At another naka point, Rs 1.25 lakh cash was recovered from one Mohd Reyaz, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Khablan, Thannamandi.
The police parties informed Returning Officers Rajouri. The Flying Squad of District Election authorities led by ARO reached the spot and took both the persons in custody along with cash. Further verification was in progress.
