Rs 3.75 cr lying with ERA should be used for more roads: Pathania

RAMNAGAR, Oct 20: Spokesperson J&K BJP, Ranbir Singh Pathania here today called for utilization of remaining funds with regard to road project from Patri to Barsua and from Barsua to Kathiel Ganju west (approach road) with two bridges to extend the road up to Panchayat Ghar Bhatyari.
Addressing a gathering the BJP leader claimed that the project was tendered at a cost of Rs. 17 crore and was allotted on lower side at a cost of Rs. 13.25 crore.
“Now when the tender project has almost been completed, Rs. 3.75 crore is still lying with Economic Reconstruction Agency. More so, the project has enlivened a ray of hope amongst the people for developing an alternative road network rightly from Patri up to Beri, Kathiel Ganju covering SC morha Kunn-Bhatyari and then culminating at Panchayat Ghar Bhatyari,” he maintained adding: “The road shall link Patri directly to Kagote-Dalsar road and will also provide an alternative for Ramnagar as well as Chanunta and Ghordi headquarters.”
Pathania further informed that a case has been sent to authorities for developing this road as an alternative network upto Ramnagar.
He said that Jhonu-Patri road has provided connectivity to the popular shrine of Sri Jalandra Mata thereby creating a window of opportunities for the local pilgrims as well as devotees.
The BJP leader informed that a multi crore project costing Rs. 22.59 crore under PMGSY upgradation has been ultimately finalized for upgradation of Rown-Ramnagar road.
Jattu Ram, DDC member; Sukhdev Singh, Mohinder Singh, Mandal Pardhan, Hem Raj and a galaxy of local people were also present on the occasion.
